Boise State Eviscerates Fresno State, Did They Prove Themselves?

College Football tyduffy November 20th. 2010, 10:30am After opening hiccups, Boise State dismantled a decent Fresno State team on the smurf turf. The score was 51-0. The stats back it up. The Broncos outgained them 516-125, converted 10/13 third downs and allowed Fresno to convert 1/12. It’s a statement win, but the fact this is considered a statement is damning. Fresno State’s an eight-win WAC team en route to a crappy bowl game. The only thing notable about Auburn or Oregon playing Fresno State at home would be if they did not eviscerate them. Boise State may be the best team in the country, but however much we talk up every marginally decent opponent, they don’t play anyone good enough to prove it. Scheduling Georgia is a step in the right direction, but they need to play four of them. [ Photo via Getty ] Leave a Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
