Today is Veterans Day, which is also known as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day depending on where you live. November 11th is the day that we not only honor our fallen heroes, but also those who are still in conflict. This day is so important, as most of us have been affected in one way or another by conflict. It is so easy to get sad by this day, but it is also a time to be happy around our children. These kids know that their parents, uncle’s, aunt’s brother’s or sister’s are overseas fighting for their country, so you do not want to be sad around them. What better way to cheer them up by giving them Veterans Day coloring pages? I know that there are those out there too old to do this, but is perfect for smaller children who can color these pictures in so that they can be sent off to their loved ones. The only problem is, which one should you give them? I have spent the past 20 minutes looking at a number of websites, and believe that Raisingourkids is the best of the bunch. They offer free printable coloring pages for all occasions, and Veterans Day just so happens to be one of them. Also remember to come back on Thanksgiving.
